The COMPASSO Laboratory is located in room I-232 of the UFRJ Technology Center in an area of ​​200 m². The laboratory space is occupied by the parallel computing, virtualization, and mobile systems project groups, each comprising researchers and graduate and undergraduate students.

The COMPASSO Lab has a computational infrastructure comprising multicore computer/server clusters with 64- and 128-core configurations, gigabit Ethernet switches, notebooks, smartphones, and tablets (Android, iOS, and Windows), Raspberry Pi boards with video cameras and sensors, iMotes, Wi-Fi routers, and desktops.

The software platforms include the OpenNebula and OpenStack virtualization environments; software for network control and emulation in Linux and Microsoft Windows, NS-3 simulator, programming languages, ​​and general-purpose operating systems.
