Currently, the students and researchers participating in COMPASSO are focused on developing research in the following areas:

  • New mechanisms for security management and protection of virtualized assets;

  • New mechanisms and techniques for exploiting microarchitecture vulnerabilities;

  • Use of WNNs to support drift prediction and data prefetching;

  • Scalable distribution of on-demand video, videocast, and live video on 5G/6G networks;

  • New applications for interest-centric ad hoc mobile networks;

  • New participatory social applications on ad hoc mobile networks;

  • Timing mechanisms for multicore, frequency scaling, and virtualization-based computing systems;

  • New mechanism for information security management in local area networks.
